So as you can probably tell I have a tiny obsession with mason jars and putting everything I make in them. This time I made single use body exfoliators in cube shape. I also may have an obsession with exfoliating ... What can I say I like to glow. There is not too much special about this minus the coconut oil , which is a holy grail product for me. Its simple and easy!
Recipe:
8 oz Shea Butter Soap (it comes in a giant hunk at the craft store)
1/3 cup Coconut oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
20 drops sweet almond oil
2 cups granulated sugar
Microwave the soap for roughly 1 min mixing half way through. Mix in the coconut oil it should melt in, then add the almond oil and vanilla extract. Next quickly mix in the sugar , being that the soap will soon set. Pack this into a mold of your choice ( I used an ice cube tray). Then simply let it set until solid isn. I say isn because these are fairly soft when done because they are meant to be crushed up in the shower, so be carful when removing form the mold and when packaging.
Let me know if you try this !

DIY Body scrub
Tuesday, June 3, 2014
Recipe:
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup honey
1/3 cup coconut oil
Juice of 1 lemon
Simply mix all of the ingredients together and bam! It leaves you with a wonderfully moisturized skin. Honey is a natural antibacterial (to combat body acne) , full of antioxidants (to fight aging), really moisturizing (to help glow) and helps unclog pores. Lemon is brightening for the skin to help provide an even tone. Coconut oil is simply a rich moisturized to keep skin from drying out. Then the sugars are to provide 2 different grains of exfoliation. All thrown together clean the skin and help prep for tanning and lotion to get that beautiful summer glow that we all look for. Try it out and let me know how it works for you !

Coconut Oil
Monday, June 2, 2014
This is my new little secret shhh. Lol Jk I'm sharing this with the internet. Everything about coconut oil is pretty awesome. Its ridiculously moisturizing to say the least and can get us in tip top shape for the summer.
1)Use it as lotion
2) Deep conditioner for hair
3)Makeup remover
4) To get Victoria's Secret model-esque looking legs
5) To actually cook with , its a good for your insides too
6) As a shaving cream
7) DIY exfoliator mixed with a little sugar
Now my personal favorite is number 1. I use it almost everyday to moisturize after showering. My legs are dry patch free and looking summer ready. I attribute this almost solely to this right here. If you can see the dent in this jar that Ive only had for 2 weeks. I use this for all of the above, and a little goes a long way though. You may smell a little like coconuts (only in the best way though), I really don't mind. The best part this jar was only 5 dollars. So save some cash and look (and smell) great !
